Is this a Schon Cue? If not, what Brand?

I am trying to help a family member identify a pool cue.

It looks like a possible Schon cue, but there is no logo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Though I can see how you arrived at Schon, but based on the photos and some research, I don't believe it to be from Schon. Here's why:

    1. It seems that the build quality and craftsmanship isn't up to the standard that you would typically see from Schon. This can be seen specifically in the mitered corners on the inlay in the buttsleeve, and where the ringwork joints are visible on the cue's joint collar and butt sleeve.
    2. I've been through my Schon cue archives (10 or so catalogs, and ~300 or so individual Schon cue photos), and this design doesn't appear.

    Might there be any markings under the rubber bumper?

    Do you have any further info such as when and where it was purchased originally, and for how much? The answers to these questions might help narrow it down.
