Info on Old Schaaf Pool Cue

Info on Old Schaaf Pool Cue

I'm seeking information on this 5 piece Schaaf Mfg pool cue.

This cue was my fathers. He had many 2 piece cues that he played snooker with in the north Minneapolis pool halls and bowling allies in the mid to late 1960s. I recall him carrying this case along with longer 2 pieces cases but I don't recall him using this one.

The decal affixed to it had Schaaf Mtg Co.out of Minneapolis.

After reading many posts in this forum I've found that it was not actually made by Schaaf Mfg. Is there anyone out there that would know the actual manufacturer? It does have a serial number decal (P.P. 43-5484) on it.

It is finely crafted with brass fasteners and the black and silver string looks hand-spun as I see the ends with a tiny drop of glue applied. The wood appears to be maple and black walnut. It is straight as an arrow when assembled.

Any information, history, and value is much appreciated.

These Schaaf cues were Asian made. They are generally just a curio. They are not of any real value as a pool cue.

    Thank you @Chopdoc.

That explains why I never saw him shoot with it, but why he always had it with him to show it.
