ID Brunswick Pool Cue Model, Year, and Value

ID Brunswick Pool Cue Model, Year, and Value

Can anyone give me some info on this Brunswick pool cue and possibly ID it?

I've never seen a joint style like the one on this cue.

I've had this pool cue for a long time. I would like to know more about it, like it's manufacture date and value?

It is a late 1960s Brunswick Sirocco pool cue, and I believe it was made by Schmelke cue (on contract from Brunswick) using South American species hardwood.

That joint style is from Schmelke.

A 1969 Brunswick pool cue catalog shows the cue (and yours is the top version):

Apparently Brunswick contracted the manufacture of these cues out to Schmelke Cue co. (as was common for them to do).

Brunswick outsourced Schmelke to make some Brunswicks in the 1970's and early 1980's, it appears that this is one of those, contracted Schmelke for Brunswick cues.
