Chicago Area Titelist Cue Conversion?

Chicago Area Titelist Cue Conversion?

I purchased this cue from a Chicago estate sale. I think it is one of the most beautiful things I own and it has definitely become my new favorite cue!

The cue is not for sale.

It has what appears to be purple heart veneers in a Titleist pattern with additional embellishments on the points. A black leather wrap like what you would find on a period Brunswick Willie Hoppe cue. The white dots are ivory and so is the butt cap (the cap has been hot needle tested). On the lower butt cap is a mother-of-pearl plate which is inscribed with what I assume is the original owner's name since I can't find any record of a cue maker with that name.

Please take a look gentlemen and see if this matches up to anything you know of or if any of you have seen in the past.

All help or clues are greatly appreciated!

With the cue being from the Chicago area, it may be from the original Brunswick cue shop.

It could also be a Herman Rambow cue, who I believe was the cue maker at the Brunswick shop before he went on his own.

    Best of Luck!

It does not have the brass joint that I thought all Rambow cues came with so I had ruled out Rambow, unless someone more knowledgeable than me has seen him use a similar style joint.

Something custom out of the Brunswick cue shop is a great suggestion. Does anyone know what one would look for to validate that?

Personally, I figured it was possibly from some other local cue maker.

I don't think I have "discovered" pool cue gold, but there is just something really cool about this cue. Its heft is nothing short of lead-filled police truncheon territory with some stunning veneers. So if any pool hall rumble happens while I'm playing with this cue, I know I'm going home safely that night!
