1 and 15 Billiards Foul Rules

1 and 15 Billiards Foul Rules

I have a question about 1 and 15 billiards foul rules.

Player A has the 15 ball by the side pocket. Player B has the solids.

Is it a foul if player B misses, but makes your 15 in the right side pocket?

If so, does that result in a ball in hand for player A?

This question relates to the following billiard rules:

It depends. When you say that player B "misses", do you mean that player hit their called ball but missed pocketing it?

If that's the case, then the 15 ball remains pocketed, player B's inning is over (since they didn't pocket the called ball), and player A's turn begins.

If they missed hitting their ball altogether, that is a foul. In that case, the 15 ball remains pocketed, and player A's turn begins with ball-in-hand.

[...] the player must cause the cue-ball's first contact to be with a ball of his own group. Failure to do so is a foul. A foul shot is not a legal shot.
