How Do You Break Out of a Rusty Streak
I feel rusty. Anyone got any real simple warm up drills to help you settle in after a lengthy layoff.

Set an OB on the foot string and the CB on the head string line them strait in the corner and try to draw back as hard as you can without missing. When the pocket is full walk around to the other side of the table and repeat you will break off rust quickly.

Interesting drill...I think I'll try it. I think it fixes three things: aim, drawback and stroke.

- Put each of the balls at the cushion by a diamond and then shoot them out; This teaches control at the cushion.
- Put 12 of the balls 5mm out from where the cushion breaks to form a pocket. Then you must shoot and make both balls (on successive shots) into the same corner; you must make all 12 balls without a miss. This teaches control of distance and english. As you get better move the balls to more difficult positions.
- Put a ball at the third diamond from the end rail, 1 diamond from the side cushion, then position the cue ball in front of the side pocket and bank the positioned ball back into the pocket. Same setup, but pick the ball back into the side pocket.
- Put the on the head spot, put an object ball on the foot spot, and now hit the cue directly into the object ball; and by using side spin, throw the object ball off the back rail and into a corner pocket near the head.
