Antique Billiards Scorer and Oliver Briggs Pool Table
I'm looking for any information about an old Oliver Briggs cue rack scorer.
I bought the Oliver Briggs billiard scorer and an Oliver Briggs pool table in 1965 north of Boston.
Below, there is another picture of the matching Oliver Briggs pool table that I purchased with the billiard scoring hutch.
The Oliver Briggs pool table was built about 1895 but the pool cue rack has no makers name and seems to be from the same time. That's about all I know. I have seen a couple of similar pieces on line.
Any information on the pool cue rack would be helpful.

That is a really really nice pool table! Nice work recognizing it.
I wonder what the numbers mean on each of the drawers. Perhaps they are lockers of some sort? The piece almost seems to have been owned by a pool hall, and perhaps the drawers were for holding sets of pool balls or something.
I'd love to know what you paid for the piece.
Also, can you tell us a little bit of information about where you got it, or any other information you already have on it?

I paid $600 for both pieces in 1965 just north of Boston. I thinks the pool table was built sometime around 1895. We couldn't put our finger on the purpose for the numbered shelves. Perhaps they are lockers of some sort? The piece almost seems to have been owned by a pool hall, and perhaps the drawers were for holding each table's balls.
There are two cups missing from rack that were used for holding chalk. I am sure it was built for use where there was more than one pool table.
