Pool Table Size for a Narrow Room
I have a room which is 20 ft long, I know that sounds like a dream length for a pool table, however the width is 7 1/2 feet wide.
I was thinking of getting a 6ft by 3ft table which will only leave just over a ft either side. I have done some research and seen that this isn't wide enough and to forget it, move on, never going to happen.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice i.e buying baby cues for shots which need side approach. Or if it really is a dead rubber?

Find a way to move a wall. Unless you're up against an outside wall on both sides, it should be possible. At what expense - is the true limit.

Moving walls isn't possible. It is a garage space. You think it's not worth it.

I look at this way; Playing on "make do" tables in "make-do" rooms is better than not playing at all?
That depends...
And only you can make the call. Let us know how it works out!

So I picked up a 5ft * 2.5 ft table for £30 quid, the balls are immensely small and it actually makes it a lot harder. In terms of space, break position and approach from the bottom side of the table is good.
And shot for the side are ok if you are coming at an angle but if you are approaching side on and straight I have to raise the Cue to somewhere between 60 and 80 degrees, but even though the balls are small, and side approach is tricky, I am really glad I purchased this.
It is in my garage and that's where I go to have a cigarette so every time I go in for a fag I have a quick game. Loving it
