11 Foot Wide Pool Table Room

I've been doing a lot of research about size of room versus size of the table. Here's my question. I just purchased a 8 ft pool table, outside dimensions are 55 x 100 inches. The room I'm putting it in is a little over 11.5 feet wide, length is not a problem at all.

I know that there is supposed to be 5 ft on either side of the table, I've got about 3.5 feet to the outside edge. Is this going to be enough room, or should I maybe look at a 7 foot pool table instead?

    I made the decision that if I couldn't have a 8ft table I was going to buy either a color depth finder/GPS for my boat. I have 2 12 in spots on my table that are a tat close. With that being said.. Got a idea. Send me your exact room dimensions via email.

    It won't let me email you because I don't have enough posts. The demensions I gave were exact, the room is 11 ft 7 inches by 20 or 24 ft I Forget which.

    I have exact same issue. The width of my basement is 138" (11'6").
