Order of Rotation for Players Coming Back "In"

Order of Rotation for Players Coming Back "In"

I have a question about the order of rotation when players come back in after being eliminated in cut throat pool.

Here is our specific situation today:

  • I was the third player to shoot (using group 11-15).
  • Each of us had one ball left on the table.
  • The first player shot and was unable to pocket any balls.
  • The second player pocketed my remaining ball on his first shot, eliminating me from the game.
  • The second player on his very next shot scratches the cue ball.
  • My ball thus comes back out and is back on the table, and I am back in the game.

My question is:

Since I am third to shoot in the rotation, is it now my turn?

Or am I skipped until my next turn, since the second shooter scratches before that round is finished?

You come back "in" when the penalty is assessed to the second player in the rotation.

Since you are back "in" and you are the third player in the rotation, it would now be your turn. You don't need to wait until the next cycle.

    From the Cutthroat Pool Rules:

When a player is reinstated due to a foul, the player coming back in resumes his/her normal position in the original order of play.
