Shot Adjustments for more Object Ball Throw
Is it true that a shooter gets more collision induced throw as speed of the cue ball decreases?
I have noted quite the opposite of this on long shots. I need to make minor modifications to my shots for "throw" more on hard shots than I do on the lighter shots.
Do you think that my eyes are just playing tricks on me here, or do you think that its because I've been shooting for so long, that I'm automatically making a sub-conscious adjustment for throw?

I'd wager that it's very likely you are sub-consciously adjusting based on your experience and your natural instinct. It is accepted that performing at-will adjustments for conceived minute variations is near impossible.
Having said that, I do find that a contact's "thickness" has more influence on throw than other "factors." Here is a thought; If you have the time available, play for a month without any deep thought at all about your shots. You may find that your improvement is quite remarkable.
