Looking at used Olhausen Augusta Pool Table

I've been looking for a used 8' table in good condition to buy for our family as a Christmas gift.

Locally I've found the following two pool tables:

  1. Connelly Durango pool table in oak for $1400 which is 3 years old
  2. Olhausen Augusta pool table in Cherry for $1600
  3. 5 year old AMF pool table in cherry finish with Queen Anne claw legs
  4. Brunswick Bradford pool table for $1250

The first two pool tables are in new condition and come with covers and everything to play with.

I am so confused with all the choices! I do not know what these tables would be new, I can't seem to find that information available online.

Do these prices seem fair?

This will be a casual home pool table for our family with four kids ranging in age from 11-15. We don't want to get a cheap table, we feel the kids are old enough to play properly on a nice table, and we wanted a solid table that would last for years.

My husband likes the Olhausen Augusta because he thinks it's the best made. We are going to view the Augusta tonight.

Any advice on what to ask or look for?
