Brunswick Metro vs. Valley Panther Pool Table
I am looking to purchase a used pool table from a local pool hall that is replacing all of their pool tables with new ones.
I can choose between a few early 2000s era 7-foot Brunswick Metro pool tables or from some 1990s 7-foot Valley Panther pool tables. The price is the same for regardless the models.
This will be my first pool table, and I am wondering what the pros and cons are for either of these models.
- Is there one that would be better for home use?
- Wondering if there’s a clear winner between these two models.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Either of those models are going to be well constructed.
Both are going to be tough as nails (perhaps the Valley Panther will have a slight advantage in this area).
I guess the Valley Panther pool table is a coin-op model, and the Brunswick Metro perhaps not?
Some might see the coin-op one as being a hassle, with more components which could potentially become a problem requiring repair as it ages.
But to answer your question, I would say that there isn't one clear winner between the two. Both are quality options.

The Brunswick Metro pool table is NOT well constructed. Take a look underneath and you will see that it's construction is 2nd rate all around.
I wouldn't buy either of these pool table models.
I hope my comment isn't too late!
