Pool Cue Brands and Prices
My cousin is wanting to buy her husband a cue for his birthday but has no idea what to get. He has indicated that a Viking would be nice, but they are rather expensive for the twice monthly pool player. My first question is what is the average price of a Viking cue? (I've done a bit of shopping and notice there is a vast range). Next, is there a better alternative that is less expensive with the same quality?

I apologize if I've posted in the wrong topic section. This is my first time, and I cannot find anything.

I'm a Viking cue fan and will soon own my 3rd and last. I like the feel and balance but it's a acquired taste. I bought my first one in the early 70's and it still plays fine just too thick and heavy for my style now. The G 01 - G 08 series starts at $136 - $192. The G-1 series comes without a wrap, $136. The G 02's are $144. A few of the G 02's strike my fancy. I also have a friend who while his player was being repaired bought a Cuetec cue. Less pricey and it hit just fine. The Cuetec Specials series run between $85 - $99.

Fenwick: I contacted the warehouse you mentioned and I explained that i have the OB 1 shaft and how much for the cue without it. Guy told me to knock off $150 from the price of the cue which is discounted already. Bottom line is aabout $ 290. Still a healthy bite for a butt.

"Still a healthy bite for a butt."
Now that's puny, pun intended!
