Helmstetter XVI Cue Info Needed
I am looking to purchase a used Helmstetter "XVI" pool cue.
Can anyone provide info on this Helmstetter model concerning it's quality, model comparison to other Helmstetter cue models, the year of production, and it's value, etc.?
It's supposedly in excellent, "rarely used" condition...
Any and all info and help is appreciated.

I can't find any reference at all for a Helmstetter XVI cue model in my Adam/Helmstetter cue archives.
In most Helmstetter catalogs I have, the pool cue's model numbers follow the series name in some way, e.g.
- Helmstetter VIP series cues have model numbers like VIP-1, VIP-2, etc.
- Helmstetter George Balabushka series cue have model numbers like GB-1, GB-2, etc.
Do you have photos of the Helmstetter XVI cue you're looking at that you can share?

Here are two photos of my HELMSTETTER cue with "XVI" on the butt cap.

I asked around about this one. It's a more recent cue. Here's some info:
I'm pretty sure it is a Chinese built Helmstetter-branded cue model.
If I remember correctly, the original Japanese-made Helmstetter cues never had the Roman numerals on the butt.
When ADAM Cue Co. moved production to China around 1995-1996 (right around when Miki left and started Mezz Cue) they used the same factory as Lucasi, Players, and others.
The Roman numeral system of production dating was common at that plant.
This cue was made in Oct of '06 based on that dating method.

The cue is straight and shaft is good. Weight is 18 oz.
I paid $330 for it. Can you tell me if that was an OK deal or not?
