Octagon Bumper Pool with 5 Balls or 6 Balls?
I'm a bit confused with how many balls are used to play bumper pool.
I have an octagon bumper pool table, and it came with 6 balls per color instead of 5 balls I normally see for bumper pool tables.
So I was trying to find an accurate diagram for an octagon bumper pool table. I figure the rules are all the same, but I don't know what to do with 6 balls per color.
The bumper pool table setup diagram in your article on how to play bumper pool that shows ball layout only has 5 balls of each color! 4 object balls and one designated as the cue ball.
Do the octagonal bumper pool tables use 6 balls?
Please help!

You probably just have a couple of spare balls.
I just looked through hundreds of images of bumper pool sets available on the market, and every single on comes with 5 of each color ball.
This was the case even when you buy the sets of bumper pool balls separately.
