Ebony BMC Cue Originally Made for Kevin Cheng
Photos of a custom ebony BMC cue that was originally made for Kevin Cheng. It was shown off in Oct 2020 from it's then-owner, Mr. Siene. He later posted it for sale in Jan 2021. From the seller: Nice Meucci BMC custom cue made for Kevin Cheng. This cue is in great shape but does have some play wear light scratch and a few dings. The cue is not perfect but is very presentable and obviously playable. It has a White and black speck exposed wrap. The cue has it's original matching shaft that is in perfect condition. It rolls true. The butt perfectly straight. Please don’t hesitate if you need additional pics or info. Trades possible. This is a high grade cue please only serious offers.

2010 Kevin Cheng BMC Ebony Cue Info
Info on the 2010 Kevin Cheng BMC Ebony Cue
There's a bit of mystery surrounding this custom BMC cue.
Chris Teibel, Meucci's web designer, originally owned one of these. It was made for him sometime around 2010. He showed it off as part of his cue collection in July 2017, and mentioned it was a 1 of 1 custom BMC cue. When asked for details, he mentioned:
"It's a custom 1 of 1."

It was sold by Teibel to Fred Siene at some point. We can see this October 2020 thread where Siene asks Teibel for info on the cue. Teibel responds:
"Yessir, this is indeed a one-off BMC, designed by Elvin and Bob for the first series of ANW (All Natural Wood) cues. [It features] highly figured cocobolo (?) with Birdseye maple veneer points. This cue in flawless condition should fetch a decent amount of coin with the right collector."

There's a bit on contradictory information there e.g. Teibel said that it was made from cocobolo vs. ebony, etc. Also ignore the grey-looking butt cap. The photo is washed out with light a bit in order to see the grain of the wood, making the butt cap look grey. It is in fact black.
Shortly after, On October 27, 2020, Fred was asking about this cue's origins in a Meucci Cues discussion forum. There was lots of mixed info from that conversation that, again, seems to be out of line with the information from Teibel. Fred's main question:
I just picked up this BMC custom 1 of 1 cue (as I’m told). I'm looking for opinions as to what it is. I was told by Teibel that it's a cocobolo Meucci ANW natural wood series but haven’t even seen one of these. The previous owner, Teibel, said it was a custom cue, made around 10 years ago.
Here are some of the relevant parts of that conversation (edited for clarity):
F. Siene - I was told this one was made for the Meucci website designer And he confirmed it.
C. Lawson - I sent a PM of what Bob and I thought about the cue, but I need more info, or rather, to have it in hand to look at it. If it’s what he says it is, it's worth $700 to $1,000. If it’s what Bob and I think it is, it's worth $2,500 minimum. With that being said if it’s a power piston cue that’s 10 years old, and just customized, it’s like a $300 cue. I really would have to hold it to make sure and look close. I think that is made from gaboon ebony. I am pretty sure it’s a design I helped make for Kevin Cheng in the beginning when he first was sponsored by Meucci Cues. It's my ferrule material length, and has the same points and same rings, and appears to be made from gaboon ebony. It may have been one of the few Cheng didn’t take a liking to (thus, it being given to Teibel in exchange for work) but its a great cue.

Apparently 5 of these were made in total for Kevin Cheng. One obviously went to the Meucci web designer.
Again, all of this information is from discussion threads on the cue. I've not been able to verify it's accuracy one way or another. If anyone has any other photos or verifiable information on this cue, let us know in the comment form below.
