J-S Sales Elmsford - Store Info

J-S Sales Company, Inc. of New York was a major US distributor of popular billiard product brands like Cuetec and Excalibur. It was founded by Ben Shimel, and later run by Ben's children, Don Shimel and Janet Shimel. For more on J-S Sales see the Industry Ink article from the April 2006 issue of InsidePOOL Magazine.

There were rumors that J-S Sales owned the Cuetec brand but that is not true. They were simply the exclusive American Distributor.

Cuetec is 100% OWNED by Jones Chang from Taiwan. I don't know the people at Imperial but I do know Janet Shimel who used to own J-S Sales and we have talked a few time about Cuetec and J-S Sales. J-S Sales was the exclusive distributor for North America for Cuetec cues. They had no ownership in Cuetec whatsoever. Imperial inherited the Cuetec distributorship along with their purchase of J-S Sales. As far as I know Imperial has ZERO ownership of Cuetec and if any then certainly no where near 50% if you knew Jones Chang.
