How 9-Ball EPT Works
The 9-Ball EPT has been created to make it affordable for all. Players of all skill levels are eligible for large winnings. Skill levels are ranked from three to twelve and are initially based on your existing rankings from your current league or previously played tournaments. Players in levels three through six compete for one purse and levels seven through twelve compete for a second purse.
The 9-Ball EPT will have one 12 week session this year. In a full year, the 9-Ball EPT has four 12-week sessions. Players may play in one or any of the four sessions. The sessions are independent of each other and purses are shared among the winners of each session.
Each session requires the completion of twelve matches prior to the session end date. Opponents of each match are selected from a list of challengeable players. This list consists of other players at your pool hall plus players belonging to other pool halls that you have added to your 'Preferred Pool Hall' list in the EPT iPort. Certain regulations exist around the eligibility of pool halls to be considered as 'Active' or 'EPT' pool halls and there are minimum requirements for the number of pool halls that you need to designate as 'Preferred Pool Halls'. For full details, view the EPT Rules, Regulations and Definitions.
There is a $15 new player registration fee that is payable when registering with Easy Pool Tour. Only registered players can access the EPT iPort and sign up for an upcoming EPT Session. Session fees are based on your approved skill level and range from $40 to $100 per session. Prize money is paid out of your session fees. Players pay an annual $30 membership fee succeeding their first year when playing a session. Players only pay their membership fee when actively playing.
Easy Pool Tour's unique pool tour system enables an unlimited number of players to compete within the same time frame on the same schedule. To start, you enter your criteria at the EPT website iport. You become active and make your challenges and/or accept challenges. You get together with your opponent at your desired pool hall, at your desired day and time, and play your match. When the match is over, you have 1 day after the day of your match to enter your score results. Once all players have recorded their 12 matches, the winners will be decided and EPT payments for prize money to players will commence. And another session begins!

Choosing a home pool hall When players are filling out their registration, Step Three will ask you to choose a home pool hall from the list or create a new pool hall that’s not on the list. This will be designated your home pool hall. You may choose a different home pool hall at the start of any session.
Two reasons players choose a home pool hall are: 1) they enjoy playing there and 2) to make it active.
Only “Active” pool halls host EPT matches. If 10 players prefer to play there, it is probably up to EPT player standards. The 10 players in essence, verify this pool hall to be up to EPT player standards. All Active pool halls must have an Active Home pool hall Administrator.
Confirming your skill level Players must have their skill level confirmed by an Active Home pool hall Administrator before joining a session their first time. If you do not have an Active Home pool hall to be confirmed at, you will have to wait until one is available. An Active Home pool hall is created when it has 10 home active/pending players. An Active Home pool hall must have an Active Home pool hall Administrator for a pool hall to host EPT matches or confirm players' skill levels. Search for a pool hall in your area that is active or make your home pool hall active.
If a player is unknown and has no previous tournament or league stats, they may join as a skill level 9. Our suggestion is to join a league or play in some local tournaments to let players get a feel for your playing ability. If you can get 4 active players that belong to active pool halls to vouch for a suitable skill level for you, along with an active pool hall administrator to verify it, you may have your skill level lowered to match your ability. All players must have their skill levels confirmed. This includes new players joining with a skill level of 9.
Join a Session: When joining a session, you pay your session fee for the amount of which your skill level was confirmed. After joining a session, you can continue building your challengeable player list by listing preferred pool halls.
Become a “Pending” Player: When you join a session your player status is a “Pending” player. “Pending” players must become “Active” players before they may challenge or accept challenges and play other players. As a “Pending” player, you are able to expand your “Preferred Pool Hall” list and proceed towards becoming an "Active" player.
Note: A session fee paid by a "Pending" player who does not become an "Active" player will carry over to the next session(s) indefinitely until the player becomes active or may have their session fee refunded at the end of the year.
List preferred pool halls: Players can choose to play at any pool hall that EPT players have listed as their home pool hall.
You can choose the EPT Home pool halls you wish to play at. Simply list them on your “Preferred Pool Halls” list. Only Active pool halls and EPTPoolHalls may host EPT matches.
Find or create an EPTPoolHall: Pool halls with 20 or more "Active" home players are given the pool hall status name: EPTPoolHall.
Become an “Active” Player: To become an “Active” player you must have an EPTPoolHall on your preferred pool hall list. Preferred pool halls are just that; pool halls a player prefers to play at. Players will create their own home EPTPoolHall or list an EPTPoolHall that is in reasonable distance to them, that they are willing to travel to and play at. Only “Active” players can make and/or accept challenges and play.
Make challenges and/or accept challenges: Now that you are an “Active” player, you can challenge and/or accept challenges from other “Active” players.

How our FREE Introductory Session works:
Easy Pool Tour is starting with an Introductory Session and putting up $25,000 in good faith to encourage players to try this new 9-ball singles competition to see how it works. We realize at 1000 or more players the prize money won’t go far. It’s just our way of saying “Give us a try” at no risk to you. See how Easy Pool Tour works and we will attract the masses to create large cash prizes for you in the sessions to follow. We feel once you try and experience Easy Pool Tour many of you will play in it for years to come.
Here’s how you get started. For our Introductory Session each pool hall will need 20 or more member-players to be involved and host matches. Once your home pool hall has its 20 players your home pool hall owner/manager will receive admin rights to our Easy Pool Tour iport website to verify your ID and skill level. Once you are verified, you will be able to join the session. Players use the internet to challenge other players of their home pool hall and players of other pool halls (your choice) in their area. Players play 12 matches within a 12 week period against 12 different players (of your choice that accepted your challenge or you theirs). Players receive a point value depending on who won and by how many games. The first 7 matches are only allowed a hill match score (it only matters if you win or lose) so players can get a feel for other players’ and rate them at the skill level they’ve chosen.

Easy Pool Tour FAQ
Please send us your questions using our "contact" button above and we will do our best to answer them.
Introductory Session:
1)Q: What is the break down for the two purses?
A: The prize money for the two purses will be proportionate to the number of players competing for each purse. For example, if skill levels 3 to 6 are half the number of players compared to skill levels 7 to 12 then the one purse will be half the size of the other purse. Let's say this is the case. The $25,000 will be split into two purses of approximately $8,350 for one and the other purse of $16,650. The break down of the first purse will be 2 top prizes of $990 each with 13 more prizes of $490 each. The break down of the second purse will be 3 top prizes of $1,050 each with 27 more prizes of $500 each. This purse break down structure is unique to our Introductory Session. For a normal session purse break down see "Winnings" under "Rules and Regulations" for purse examples.
Normal Sessions:
1) Q: How does Easy Pool Tour differ from other competitions?
A: Easy Pool Tour has no play-offs, no late night or weekend tournaments. Each match is played at a time and place that best suits both players. Players play 12 matches within a 12 week period against 12 different players. Each 12-week session, the players with the top running average points are our cash winners. This is made possible with our unique innovative point system, as well as our internet-based scheduling system. Along with being able to choose your desired time and place for each match, you also choose the skill level of player to play against for each match.
2) Q: We don't have enough players or an "EPTPoolHall" near us?
A: All players playing on Easy Pool Tour need to have the player status of "Active". You become active by having an "EPTPoolHall" on your preferred pool hall list. This can be your own home pool hall or any other player's home pool hall that is in reasonable distance to travel to and play at. Look for Easy Pool Tour participating pool halls near you and list them on your "Preferred Pool Halls" list. As your pool hall and these pool halls get more Easy Pool Tour players, you will have your "EPTPoolHall". Give it time. If you don't make it this session, your session fee will carry over to the next session. If this is your first year and you decide next year you don't want to continue to wait, we will refund your full session fee.
3) Q: Aren't you taking away from the other venues of pool?
A: We don't feel that way. In fact, we feel the opposite. If we make it easier for more players to get involved, less expensive and less time consuming, with more rewards, then players... more players can go on to challenge themselves to a higher position in this sport.
4) Q: How many sessions can I miss before I have to requalify? (this is for the EPT Minor)
A: You can miss 2 consecutive sessions and remain qualified. If you miss 3 consecutive sessions, you will have to play another preliminary session. If you miss 4 or more consecutive sessions, you will have to play another assessment and preliminary session.
5) Q: What is an "Assessment Session"?
A: For definitions, please see "EPT Rules, Regulations and Definitions."
