I bought my 1st pool table, a Brunswick Century oversize 8 foot, from Kerry at A Better Billiard Service in 2004.
In February of 2018 I needed to have some issues resolved and called A Better Billiards again. Kerry came to the house and introduced me to Julio Rice who had taken over the repair portion. Julio replaced the cushions, extended the sub rails in order to tighten the pocket openings so that shims were not used and basically tightened the rail box along with new bed and rail cloth. Leveling was also done.
This pool table originally came from Click's Billiards in El Paso, Texas where it saw daily use for decades before me and had continuing issues with table roll that both Kerry and Julio worked tirelessly to make true.
On 11/13/2018 Julio came to my house to check out the problem with table roll and re-leveled the 3 slates and in the process discovered some of the slate bolts were not threading. He came up with a repair process on the spot and started that process.
Knowing the history of this Brunswick pool table we, my wife and I, talked about replacing it while Julio continued his work. Julio told us he knew of an oversize 8 foot used Diamond Professional for sale from a private owner. Julio knew the history of this Diamond and on his word we bought it. It was a good upgrade. It's a more solid frame and table. Julio worked with us and the owner of the Diamond. I have seen the pains Julio takes in his work to level and true my table and other tables both furniture and commercial. Quality work and advice.
I recommend his services to anyone with a pool table no matter the brand of pool table.
