Definition of Sweater
Sweater is a billiards slang term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.
A sweater is a spectator who is most likely stakehorsing the tournament and may also have several side bets on the go. Because of the cash at stake, and the financial risk involved, the spectator becomes a sweater in the perspiration sense. The stakehorse is nervous and is sweating or sweating the action.
