Definition of In The One Hole
In The One Hole is a billiards slang term that is a part of Scoring Terminology.
In the one hole means having scored enough balls so that only one more ball is needed for the win. Needless to say, if handicaps were in use, the actual count of balls at that point would vary depending on the handicap.
In The One Hole - Usage
I call the 8 ball in the one pocket buddy, and when that happens, you pay up.
