Definition of Head Rail
Head Rail is a billiards term that is a part of Pool Table Terminology.
The head rail is the short rail at the end of the pool table from which the shooting player breaks. The head rail is opposite the side where the balls are racked.
Head Rail - Usage
I'd be trying for the 6 ball that is located up by the head rail. You have a nice clear shot to the corner pocket.
