Firing Air Barrels is a billiards slang term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.
When a pool player is firing air barrels, he or she is gambling on a match while financially unable to pay up if they suffer a loss. Players usually do this when chasing their money as a last resort. Firing air barrels refers to a person gambling when he or she has no money.
