Definition of Back
Back is a billiards term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.
In cue sports, back refers to the act of putting up the money for someone to buy in to a money game. One usually agrees to back a player if they think they'll win. The backer usually expects some portion of the prize winnings that is large enough to cover the initial investment plus provide a profit. If the player does not win, the backer usually does not require to be repaid.
