Will a new cue ball be damaged if used with rough dirty object balls?
I want to buy a new Aramith measles cue ball (one with dots on it) so I can see what the cue is doing. This new cue ball will be clean and smooth, and I am wondering if a new cue ball be damaged if used with rough dirty object balls?
E.g. will the new cue ball be damaged if I practice with it using pool hall balls that are dirty or, especially, nicked and rough from being dropped on the concrete floors around here?
Will that new, spotted cue, be useful to me here given that the tables and balls where I am able to play are dirty?
