   Welcome to the billiard forums, and thanks for posting.

   In pocket billiards, the official size of tournament balls is 2 1/4 inches, and their weight can be as much as 5 1/2 to 6 ounces. There is also a diameter tolerance of .005 inches either way which is in place because of the inconsistent manufacture of the balls.
