Identify and Price of Large-Print Pool Balls?

Identify and Price of Large-Print Pool Balls?

I am wondering if anyone knows about the large-print billiard balls in the photo.

I would also like to know how much they are worth.

I searched Google under "Images" and found a photo of these on AZBilliards' forum. The poster was a billiard ball collector and said that they were EZR billiard balls, but I couldn't find any more info after that.

Here is another pic of the "Easy Read" [pool] ball set I posted a short while back - advertised as the "EZR v1 Ball Set" on the box.

I faintly remember these, and also another version with this same large print format (thus the "v1" designation) but I am unable to locate any other details. Time for a walk through the Billiards Digest back issues for a display ad...

Distributed by DFS International out of Houston with a small patent pending sticker affixed to the ball box.

Does anyone have any other information to share on this EZ Read pool ball set?

They were from a billiard supply distributor in Houston, TX called DFS International, Inc., owned by Steve Westlund. The company had a booth at the 2008 BCA Expo in Charlotte (booth 739).

The product was available between 2005 and 2010 (approximately), maybe earlier.

The wooden case in your photo did not likely come with them originally.

At the time, it retailed for between $99 and $139 per set. I don't believe them to hold any value to collectors, and thus, the EZ Read V1 billiard ball set would likely be worth somewhere less than it's original retail price (e.g. less than $100).

Here is the catalog page for the "EZ Read V1 Billiard Ball Set" from their (now defunct) website:

Thanks so much for your replies.

I ended up selling them for $50.

    Thanks again,
