Hyatt Bicentennial Cue Ball Issues, Help!

I have a HYATT "Bicentennial pool ball set.

The cue ball has strange blemishes that appear under the exterior surface. They look like half semi-circle lines. However, the cue ball surface is smooth and there are no external cracks.

What are those blemishes, and what would have caused them?
