Pool Cue Case

Pool Cue Case

Hi - I am just starting out. I want to get a case for my cue. There is a Meucci hard case for sale on Craigslist but on the inside there is no separator for the butt and the shaft. Is that normal? Can I buy a separator? The only cases I have seen so far have the separator in them, so I'm confused. Thanks for your input!
