Banking Drill Billiard Tip
Next time you get on a pool table, try this 4 and 5 rail bank drill. Draw a visual line diagonally from one corner pocket to the other. Set a cue ball and object ball equal distance from that diagonal line. Square up, shoot with no English straight into object ball. If you are hitting the end rail first, its a 4-rail bank. If you hit the side rail first, its a 5-rail bank shot.
Try it out! On the 5 rail bank, you do have to watch out for the side pocket but it does work pretty good. Just make sure you hit the ball very firmly.

I lost you with "Set a cue ball and object ball equal distance from that diagonal line." A picture is worth a thousand words, but I see nowhere to put an image into a post.

Lay your cue diagonally from one corner pocket to the other. Now, place a cue ball 8 inches from the cue. Place an object ball 8 inches also, from the cue. Both balls should be equally distanced from the cue stick. You can pick a distance more or less, works just as well.

Now I see, and it does work. Are you familiar with spot on the wall?
