Pocketing the 9 Ball In the Wrong Pocket
I am looking for ruling on the following situation in nine ball.
It is the last ball (9 ball) shooter calls pocket. The 9 ball goes into wrong pocket, what is the ruling?

Call shot it gets spotted and you get ball in hand read below why it never happens.
With ball in hand unless you can't make a spotted ball with B.I.H. you win.
Might as well say loss of game.

Thanks for the comeback.....i had went to the bca rule book and the only rule i could find was under ..FOULS when one hits the wrong ball or similar instance committing a foul, and the 9 ball is spotted.....in this case no such foul has occurred and am having a hard time convincing the shooter of the rule you have described in the foul section of the rule book.....(i believe this should be the answer but it just is not complete in the rule book)

Well I guess I am not going to find a definite answer to this 9 ball pocketed in wrong pocket, but appreciate your effort and interest. The current 2008 B.C.A. rule book is so poorly written, I cant believe it could be approved for publication.
