Playing "Call the 9 Ball Only" and Missed Combo Shots

In nine ball, we are playing "call 9 ball only" where everything else is "slop counts".

The player called a combination shot off the 2 into the 9 ball, and 9 ball in into the corner. They made the 2-ball but missed the 9 ball.

Is this a missed shot?
