What Happens if You Sink a Solid and Stripe on Break Shot, and 8 Ball Also Goes In?

What Happens if You Sink a Solid and Stripe on Break Shot, and 8 Ball Also Goes In?

What happens if you sink a solid and a striped ball on the break shot, and the 8 ball also goes in on the break shot?

For example, I break, and a solid ball goes in, a striped ball goes in, and the eight ball goes in.

Who wins that game?

When the 8 ball is sunk on a break shot, neither player has won (or lost) the game at this point, as long as they have not scratched.

This question is a duplicate of Sinking Eight Ball On Opening Break. See the first answer to that question for a fully detailed breakdown of the specific WPA rules that apply to this situation.

But in short, when the 8 ball is pocketed on the break shot, the shooting player has an option of either:

    1. re-spotting the eight ball and accepting the balls in position, or
    2. re-breaking.
