Iraq 8 Ball Rules and Ugandan 8 Ball Rules in Baghdad
Here is a peeve that gets me a little disgruntled when playing against "their" rules here in Iraq.
Here is the scenario.
I'm on the 8 ball and I have left my opponent with 5 of his solids on the table still...now i call my shot, take my shot, Cue Ball hits the 8 ball and drops, but after the Initial hit, the CUE Ball hits one of his Solids and drops before my 8 ball goes in.
They are saying that if that happens then I have lost the game. It is not specified, but I went ahead and allowed it, until I won the following game and posted the BCA rules on the wall for them to read and play by.
Did I lose that game, BCA rules or not?
This question relates to the following billiard rules:

If the cue-ball drops (or leaves the table) on a shot on the 8-ball--you loose. The order of events does not mater.

Thanks for the reply, but i'm sorry that I wasn't specific enough...
I meant to say that one of his solids dropped in a pocket before my 8 ball dropped in the pocket. It's how "they" play it here, so yea I know its BS but just thought i'd see if anyone else heard if this before.
- My shot hit the 8 Ball first, rolls slowly to called pocket
- After the initial hit, cue ball rolls left, hits my opponents solid and pockets it before my 8 Ball pockets
- My 8 Ball still goes in called pocket, BUT! Their official, of the tourney, calls it a lost to me because the 8 Ball must be made first before any other stray balls pockets.
Crazy isn't it?

Well I will say that those rules are at odd with the rules of the BCA, APA, UPA, VENA, and WPBA.
