Interesting Situation With Sinking 8 Ball
So the other day I was playing pool and I was down to the 8 ball. I called it and sunk it to the proper hole then the cue ball hit my opponent's ball and his ball went in the hole. He then claimed to have won the game.
However, since I sunk the 8 ball clean I thought I was the winner but my opponent didn't agree since I sunk his ball in the same movement.
Help please.

Ask him to show you the rule that deals with this exact situation - and by what means - does he get to that rule out of any rules book.
I think he may have a case. Lemme look it up and get back...

One rule suggests the inadvertent dropping of another ball while shooting - and making - a "legal shot" (which would be the case in your example) means nothing - and is therefore, not a foul.
In light of there being no rule to the contrary, I think you won - and his "bitch" is invalid.

I agree with this.

The normal rule is called ball goes in called pocket and no other fouls occur.
There are some no-slop rules (bar box) where you must make clean contact on the 8-ball and the 8-ball must not touch any other ball before going in the called pocket. There is no rule on the CB execpt that it not scratch.
Thus for the described situation; you win.
