Easy or Fast 8 Ball
Here is another game that most people probably never heard of but maybe you have.
Easy or Fast 8 Ball You rack 4 Solids and 4 Stripes and the 8 Ball in a nine ball rack with the eight ball in the middle, any rules can be used if nothing else it's good practice if only to play by yourself for a 3 or 4 ball out
This question relates to the following billiard rules:

Cool, thanks for posting. Is that a rule set that you created, or is it formally documented somewhere?

I did not create the rules for this game any rule can actually apply BCA, local tavern rules but mostly like 9 ball ball in hand if you scratch any where on the table. I got the game from a friend of mine in the Portland, Oregon area. I publish a billiard monthly magazine and for the past 8 years I have delivered it to bars, taverns, pool halls, in the Seattle/Portland area. I travel there from Montana. My friend Coyote asked me if I wanted to see a new game but never told me where he got it from. I find it is a great way to practice 3 or 4 ball run-outs for 8 ball. It's kind of strange to play because if you break and make two stripes you could two shots and out. But your opponent could be the same the next break. I hope you show it to people and it works and helps your game.

Sounds interesting. The problem I have is the other 100 games out there that I haven't even tried yet.

I or we played one game yesterday. It didn't go over very well as he made nothing on the break and I ran out. For me its better then 3 ball and a fun game. It would be a great game with a group sharing a table. Fun fast game.

Scenario: I break, and pocket 4 low balls and a high ball on the break.
Can I shoot the 8 ball and win to finish the suit?
